M.E. THE CLOWN
| Marie (M. E.) Persson started the clown supplies business after running The Salem Sorcery Circus in Salem MA for her brother-in-law Otto "Professor Offtop" Persson. The store sold craft items made by her and later clown-related items such as costumes and such. The store also sold magic supplies which her husband, Eric "Cheezo" Persson, handled. The store closed in 1977, the year M. E. Persson Clown Supplies mail order was opened at her home in Hamilton, MA. The business has been in Lee, NH; Barrington, NH, a full-fledged store at the Castles of Brentwood NH and now it is named CLOWNSUPPLIES.COM and is in Pittsfield NH |
