PRESIDENT'S REPORT Hi, to
everyone and thanks for coming to the celebration at cedar crest.
Also thanks for wanting me as president for another year. I plan
to have some great things for the new year. Seeing everyone that
night only reminded me of why I joined haps alley. It was because
of all of you and I thank you. We are scheduled at the school for
our next meeting and don't forget to bring the items I am listing
here. Cheezo will be bringing in some things for my magic session.
I will need everyone to bring a thumb tip, My favorite rope
trick, 3 half dollar pieces, sponge balls at least 2, a
dollar bill and a pen. Everything else I will bring. Cheezo
will bring supplies for those that don't have thumb tips or my
favorite rope trick or sponge balls, so bring some extra cash
for supplies. I plan to teach some of my techniques and magic to
enhance your magic repertoire. All the tricks and techniques I
will demonstrate I have used for many years and they work. These
will be techniques that aren't clown oriented but they will make
your magic more visual to spectators. I hope everyone enjoys what
I have to offer. I will also be bringing a demo dvd of the
clown television show we will be doing at Lawrence which
I believe will be a great thing for Haps Alley. I look forward to

SECRETARY'S REPORT
Hello Everyone Hope everyone had a great time last month at Cedar Crest once again they went above and beyond. For those who did not attend we had our annual dinner at the Cedar Crest in Lawrence. We had a Yankee swap of which most everyone participated. John is working on a video production in which we will be able to do some shows for the Lawrence public access station. He plans to bring in something next month for show and tell. We also elected our officers for the coming year. Pres re-elect - John "Trix" Vice Pres - Mary "Rainbow" Sec/Treas - Pam "Lollipop" Sarg Arms - Eric "Cheezo" Officers at Large - Marie "Rie" - Janet W. "Sonshine" Next month John will be teaching a lecture on table magic. He has requested that you bring the following. Thumb tip, silk, half dollar coin, and professors nightmare if you have it also known as my favorite rope trick. Eric and Rie will be bringing extra props for purchase if you do not have these items and wish to follow along and practice. For those of you that are members of world clown please see your January addition of clowning around. You will see that there is a ballot to vote on new or changing by-laws as well as some new officer positions. This must be sent in ASAP. Pam will be going over some of the changes the next meeting so if you wish to bring in your subscription you can fill out your ballot at the meeting and I can take it to work to mail it for you. As with any club or for that matter as an American you have the right to vote and you should take full advantage of it. Upcoming events- Twist in shout Feb Peabody Marriott contact "J" for more info. World Clown convention -April 13-17th Orlando Florida. Pam and I are all signed up and are attending and anyone who needs more info on it please see either of us. Sunshine We sent cards out to Walter "Hap" a we miss you and to Paul "DR. Goose" whose wife has just come home from the hospital she is battling jaw cancer. We keep you all in our prayers. With deep sympathy we regret to inform you of the passing of Erv's Mom. As well as Erv himself has not been well hope you are on the mend. Gerry last known might be going under the knife for shoulder surgery please let us know and if you have hope you are also on the mend. For all those who will be celebrating a Birthday this year and for those that we might have missed thus far Happy Belated Birthday. Happy Birthday Happy Birthday Happy Birthday 2008. I think I covered everyone L.O.L. June Trust is looking for someone who might be able to pick her up so that she can attend the meetings.
