PRESIDENT'S REPORT

Hello Everyone!

Hope all are enjoying your summer. We had a great time at Sue and Cliff's home this past month what a great turn out. It was nice to see some of our members June, Gail, Err. We brought in Bruce the bubble man. Bruce demonstrated his master bubble making we should have some pictures on the site to show what a great time we had. I had brought along my sister and nephews the boys had a great time making the bubbles. Thanks Sue and Cliff for your hospitality.
Thanks to all who participated with the toys for tots show we keep getting better every year and it shows with our audience. We once again had had a great attendance and it just keeps getting larger.
We have voted that the by-laws be changed and that all members of Haps alley be cori checked and that any new member coming into the club be cori checked prior to becoming at member. With that said I have been in contact with the legal department on the Cori check and we may be entitled to be certified I will discuss this at the next meeting in October. In the mean time I am in the process of filing the paper work for this. Members that went out with us after the toys for tots were given a copy of a personal cori check application. At this time if you have not already done so please hold off on getting this filed out. Since we are trying to get certified it will be a different form. The personal one as I found out it that we would not be able to use it for the school or for anything but personal use. I will try to call as many members as possible to get this word around as I have received some back in the mail. I will let you know when I hear back from the state on what the next procedure will be.
Last I am sad to say that the Mall of New Hampshire will not be doing the Jerry Lewis Telethon this year. So for this year that alley event has been canceled. I will check into other locations for next year so that we can continue to support a great cause.
Janet and Jerry went of to a Christian clown workshop that they will share with us in October. Pam and I will be going to Orlando for clown camp  this one is on physical comedy and the caring clown we will also be entertaining at the Children of the world village. The village is made up of homes that families are able to go to spend a couple weeks with a child who has been diagnosed terminally ill. The workshops that we will be taking during the week will help us prepare for what to expect and how to do other caring clown activities at home in local hospitals. I'm sure we will have more than lots to share when we get back.
I will see you all back at  the school in October.
Also, Granite state clown workshop for Mr. Rainbow please send in you form if you plan to attend.

Till then take care

SECRETARY'S REPORT

Lollipop,

There will NOT be a remote telethon site this year.  It wasn’t really what the Mall wanted and I had to put in sooo much time to raise very little money.  This year, we are going to use the cutaway time to focus more on the groups that have raised money and highlight them, as well as, have more time for our vignettes (interviews with local families and what MDA means to them).
To be honest, the clowns were really the only thing holding that Activity Center together.  Without your support, this event would have folded years ago.  I have attached a letter expressing my sincere gratitude that you can use as a letter of endorsement for the entire group.  If I ever have any sort of event similar to this I will not hesitate to call.  You and the other clowns were truly remarkable and I was a pleasure to work with you for the past 4 years.
